Pupil Survey Results June 2024

The annual pupil survey was issued for a period of three weeks in May/June 2024. 169 responses were gathered in total meaning each response is worth approx. 0.6%. The outcomes will be used for future school improvement.

86% of children said they felt safe at school all of the time. 1% of pupils said they never feel safe at school. The children were then asked what made them feel unsafe with an open response option. The majority of children did not add any information for this question but the following responses were gathered:

At the end of the survey, we asked the children what would make school a better place for them.  

In total, 148 suggestions were given as part of this question. The comments, generally, still centre around playtimes, relationships on yards and the equipment used at playtime and lunchtime.

Next Steps – What we need to consider

  • Continue to purchase equipment when needed for yard bunkers.
  • Consider comfortable areas on yards for reading and relaxing.
  • More regular and consistent school trips.
  • Additional in school sports teams and after school clubs.
  • Continue with PSHE relationships work.
