Reading for Pleasure Assembly
This morning, we met in the hall to talk about the importance of reading and how enjoying books can help us to find information but can also lead us on lots of adventures.
Mrs Compton gave the children a character quiz, where she described them and the children had to guess who they were. The children did amazingly well and got them all correct.
She then spoke to the children about all of the exciting reading events which will be happening this year, including regular trips to the library.
At the end of the assembly, she gave each class a parcel which contained their first class text which will be read by the teacher over the coming weeks. The children couldn't wait to find out what was inside!
