Driving Skills Runs

Day 3: 

Today the competition started.  We began the day by getting our robot through inspection and then it was off to the skills field. In this competition we are the only robot on the field.  We are trying to score as many points as possible on our own.  

In our first run, we scored 55. This was a really low score for us.  This put the pressure on for the next run as we only have 3 drives.  Our second run was much better as we scored 78.  This is much more like the scores we would expect to score.

The team were very excited by our score of 78.  The last thing we wanted to do was fly half way across the world and struggle with the robot.  It was a huge relief to hit 78. Well done drivers.  You are stars!

Now, the pressure is off and we can hopefully enjoy the next couple of days a bit more - competing hard.

 The team still has one more attempt to improve on their score!  We will keep you posted.
