Thursday 2 October 2025 Physical Day in Nursery This week we practised running, jumping and balancing as the children took on our ultimate obstacle course! They walked along a beam, rolled across a mat, crawled through a tunnel and tiptoed across a ladder.

Tuesday 30 September 2025 Reception Music Lesson This week we had our 3rd music lesson with Miss Christie from the Gateshead Music Service. This week's lesson was jungle themed. The children learnt some new songs, they tapped to the beat and they played only during their team section.

Wednesday 24 September 2025 Nursery Rhymes in Nursery Over the next few weeks we will be learning lots of new nursery rhymes in Nursery. This week we have started with "I'm a Little Teapot". We have been learning the words and adding the actions. Why not ask your little one to sing it for you?

Friday 18 July 2025 End of 24-25 As another school year draws to a close, we reflect on a period brimming with success, excitement, resilience, and countless good times. It's a bittersweet moment as we prepare to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6s, who are embarking on their next adventures, and to valued members of our staff who are moving on to new and exciting challenges. We couldn't be prouder of our children for their incredible achievements and growth, of our dedicated staff for their unwavering commitment, and of our supportive parents for their invaluable partnership. Together, we've navigated another amazing year, and we look forward to the memories we've made and the bright futures ahead for everyone.

Friday 18 July 2025 Wardley Park -Year 1a To celebrate the end of year 1 the children visited the newly refurbished Wardley Park. During the trip, the children had a teddy bears picnic and then played on the park equipment. Despite the rain, the children still had lots of fun.

Tuesday 15 July 2025 Ambic Manufacturing STEM Challenge Year 2 loved their STEM day today. The day started with the class talking about their career aspirations. After that, they learnt about Ambic Manufacturing and the different roles that exist within the company.

Monday 14 July 2025 Hindu Temple Visit Mr Burfield's class enjoyed their visit to the Hindu temple on Westgate Road today. It was a great end to the term's R.E. lessons.

Monday 14 July 2025 Reception at Forest School (Summer 2) Reception enjoyed cooking at eating breadsticks around the fire. They also did a great job collecting natural materials such as flowers, leaves and grass to add to a big natural weaving frame.

Monday 14 July 2025 Year 1a Forest School (Summer 2) Year 1a found lots of bugs on their bug hunt, including butterflies, ladybirds, slugs, worms and bees. They also cooked and ate breadsticks around the fire.

Instead they went on a bug hunt and found lots of insects including butterflies, ladybirds, bees, and spiders. They also collected natural materials to weave into a class-size natural weaving frame.

Monday 14 July 2025 Year 4 at Forest School (Summer 2) Year 4 safely cooked breadsticks on the fire, and made their own weaving frame using sticks and wool. They then collected natural materials such as leaves, flowers and grass to weave into their frames.

Monday 14 July 2025 Year 6 at Forest School (Summer 2) Due to high winds, Year 6 were unable to have their fire at Forest School. Instead they made some weaving frames from wood and wool. They then explored the field collecting natural material to them weave through their frames.

Monday 14 July 2025 Nursery at Forest School (Summer 2) At Forest School, the nursery children worked in pairs to complete a bug hunt. They looked under big logs, on leaves, and through the trees to find bees, worms, slugs, ladybirds, butterflies and more.

Monday 14 July 2025 VEX Robots in Year 1 This term, Year 1 had lots of fun learning how to control and move a VEX 1,2,3 Robot in Computing. They used the buttons to give a direction, moving the robot forwards, left and right. They even had a go at creating a program to direct the robot to a finishing point!

Thursday 10 July 2025 Year 5 Surf School Yesterday, Year 5 visited South Shields to take part in a surf school class. The experience for the children was amazing and really helped them to develop their skills of resilience and perseverance. A fun day was had by all and was a wonderful way to celebrate all of their achievements that they have made this year.
