Halloween in Nursery

What a fang-tastic time we have had in Nursery celebrating Halloween! The children have enjoyed a week full of exciting activities, creative experiences and spooky sensory explorations.

We have been busy making marks on pumpkins, exploring different lines and patterns and developing our early writing skills. The children also investigated the inside of a pumpkin, discovering its seeds, stringy flesh and unusual textures. There were lots of curious little hands exploring and plenty of wonderful observations along the way!

Our Nursery was full of Halloween excitement as the children arrived dressed in their fantastic Halloween costumes. We enjoyed seeing all the different outfits and sharing in the fun together.

Out in the garden, the children became little scientists as they mixed up their very own Halloween potions! They experimented with different ingredients, explored textures and enjoyed watching what happened as they mixed everything together. This was a wonderful opportunity to develop their curiosity, imagination and language skills through hands-on play.

We have also been getting creative by making our own Halloween pictures, using our imaginations to explore colours, shapes and different materials.

For Foody Friday, we got creative in the kitchen by making spooky eyeball crackers! The children used cream cheese and a grape to transform a simple cracker into a creepy edible eyeball. This fun activity encouraged the children to explore different foods and textures while developing their independence and enjoying a little Halloween-inspired food fun!

It has been a wonderful week filled with laughter, learning, creativity and a little bit of Halloween magic! We are so proud of the children's enthusiasm, curiosity and wonderful ideas.

Thank you to all our families for helping to make our Halloween celebrations so special. We hope you all have a happy and spook-tacular Halloween!
