North East Regional Victory

Mr Bastow and our two VEX teams had the dream ending to the Newcastle University Tournament last week.

The pressure was on going into the last of the regional events of the season for both our teams as neither of them had qualified for the National Championship - which is always the goal of a season.

For both to qualify, our teams would have to be partnered together in the final teamwork challenge matches.  That is exactly what happened.  Our teams were ranked 1st and 2nd overall which meant that they got to form an alliance together.  Secretly, this is what we had been hoping for at the start of the competition.

Amazingly, both teams head their nerve and were able to bet the existing score and advance to nationals together.
