Team 38154B Win World Championship Award

At the VEX World Championships, all the teams competing at Elementary Level are put into 4 divisions.  We are in the Maths division.  There are another 84 teams in our division.  

Only a select number of teams are awarded a judges interview at worlds. They have to earn it. Each team is given a remote interview prior to the championship and this together with their performance throughout the.year will decide if they receive a second interview at worlds.  We were excited to be told we were going to have a visit from the judges for a second interview.   The children felt that their second interview went well. 

At the end of the competition, each division has an awards ceremony.  Amazingly, we won the Judge's Award for the Maths division.  Our second interview must have gone well as Wardley Primary School was award the Judges Award.

The judges award is presented to a team that the judges determine is deserving of special recognition. Judges consider a number of possible criteria for this award, such as a team displays of special attributes, exemplary effort and perseverance at the event, or team accomplishments or endeavours during the season that may not fit existing awards but are nevertheless deserving of special recognition
