VEX IQ Gateshead Regional

 

 

Wardley Primary School has 2 VEX IQ teams this year and both of them were in action at the Gateshead Regional at Whickham Comprehensive School.

 

This was the season's second event for Team 38154C and they showed a massive improvement from the event at Nissan.  They showed a greater understanding of the game and combined well with other teams during the Teamwork Challenge element of the competition.  Amazingly, they were ranked 2nd overall going into the finals matches.  Unfortunately, they couldn't beat the score of 26 that had been posted and left the competition empty handed.

 

Team 38154B was attending their first competition of the season and unfortunately were having to deal with a robot that developed a fault part with its intake, part of the way through the Teamwork Challenge matches.  They did however impress the judges when talking about their robot and came away with the Judges Award.  

 

It was a fantastic day for both teams.  As every full of highs and lows, but, definitely worth getting out of bed for.  Well done teams.
