Wardley Pupil Scoops National DT Award
We are pleased to announce that one of our Pupils has won the Local Supply Chain Excellence Award for the Bernard Brown Outstanding Pupil Age 5 - 11 at the DT annual Excellence Award ceremony. This is an extremely prestigious national award and is the first of its kind won by a pupil from our school.
She has had an exceptional year in Design and Technology, marked by significant achievements. As a key member of the VEX Robotics Team, she contributed to winning regional, national, and world awards.
Her roles included coding, maintaining the Engineering Notebook, and driving the robot under pressure. She also showcased her expertise at the NEAA Expo and regularly attended the school's Robotics Club, dedicating Extra time to perfect her skills. Her awards include Teamwork Champions at the County Durham VEX Competition, UK National Teamwork Champions and a Judges Award at the VEX World Championships. Her dedication and resilience have been outstanding, making her a deserving recipient of this recognition.
As you can imagine we are all extremely proud of her achievements. The award is a real achievement for them personally and also for the school. As a school, we enjoyed watching her being presented with the award in a school assembly.
