Year 1a, Autumn term RfP

At the end of our autumn 1 term, the children listened to the story ‘Room on the Broom’, by Julia Donaldson and completed a range of arts and crafts activities based on the text. 

 

 

  

This half term (autumn 2), we went on a wonderful trip to Pelaw library. At the library, we listened to the story ‘What’s next door’ by Nicola O’Byrne.  Then, our class split into two small groups. Whilst one group browsed and looked at the books (ready to loan one to take back to school), the other group completed a task based on the book.

 

The children had lots of fun during both reading afternoons and we can’t wait to see what our spring reading events.
