Year 6 Safety Works
This week the children in Year 6 visited the Safety Works which was a fantastic learning experience enabling us to participate safely in realistic situations illustrating everyday hazards and how to prevent them. The children learnt about water safety with the RLNI, Metro and trainline safety with Nexus, antisocial behaviour and peer pressure with Northumbria Police and antisocial fires and online safety with the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue service. All of the sessions were interactive and allowed the children to discuss real life dangers in a safe environment. They had excellent questions and showed a great understanding about how to keep themselves safe.
