Year 6 visit Nissan
On Monday, Year 6 visited Nissan for the Monozukuri Caravan event. Throughout the day, the children learned about the origins of Nissan and its roots as a Japanese company. They discovered which cars are produced at the Sunderland plant and how many are made there each year.
The children then took part in a production line activity, where they worked together to assemble mini Nissan Buddies. They refined the process to make it as quick and efficient as possible.
After lunch, the children had the chance to see one of the robots in action and were amazed at the coding used to draw a car. To end the day, everyone participated in dexterity tasks using nuts, bolts, and drills.
It was an exciting and educational experience, and everyone had a fantastic time. We can’t wait to return in a couple of weeks!
