Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education
At Wardley Primary School we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment, in which all of our children benefit from a rich and varied curriculum that has personal, social, health and economic learning at its core. We believe it is imperative that the skills our children develop whilst in school help them to prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life as an active member of society.
At Wardley Primary School, we ensure that children gain an understanding of the world around them and are able to use this knowledge to learn how to respect difference and diversity and become involved in the life of their local and global community.
Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is interwoven through all areas of our curriculum and gives children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to stay healthy and safe, develop positive and worthwhile relationships and make the most of their own abilities and those of others.
At Wardley Primary School, we predominantly follow the 3D PSHE Programme. 3D PSHE is a fully comprehensive programme which helps pupils to develop and demonstrate skills and attitudes that will allow them to participate fully in and contribute positively to life in modern Britain. Pupils are taught through three underlying core themes: Health and Wellbeing; Relationships; and Living in the Wider World. Helping our children to grow into positive, self-aware and confident individuals is our primary aim at Wardley Primary school and with this comes success both within school and in their lives as a whole.
